Biography

I was born in 1980 in Rijeka. In 2008 I graduated painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana and earned the title of academic painter. In my final year of study, I began to work with painting as a phenomenon influenced by the world of visual media.

After graduation, I enrolled in a postgraduate master’s study at ALUO Ljubljana. At that time, I mainly participated in group exhibitions, and organized several workshops for children. I was admitted to HDLU Rijeka in 2012., to HDLU Istra in 2015., and to HDLU (HR) in 2018. In the 2017 and 2018, I was a member of the artistic council of HDLU Rijeka and I participated in the jury for Rijeka Mini art in 2017 and 2018. I have participated in several art colonies in Croatia and abroad. As an artistic director, I organize exhibitions in the gallery “Cisterna” within the Italian Community of Mošćenička Draga, which has been operating in the summer months, since 2014. So far, I have organized more than 15 exhibitions in the gallery.

Since 2015, I have been working as an assistant at the Academy of Applied Arts, University of Rijeka. Since then, I have been working on painting courses, and on the Glass course of afforementioned Academy

In 2016 and 2017, I attended and completed the DPPO program at the Faculty of Philosophy in Rijeka (Supplementary psychological and pedagogical education for teachers) which is necessary for working with children in school, and for conducting and organizing art workshops in educational institutions. In October 2018, I attended a workshop at the Abate Zanetti Glass School in Murano (Italy) for the technique of processing glass on a burner, and received a certificate of completion of a program that trains students to handle equipment and make glass objects in this technique. I have participated in 11 solo and over forty group exhibitions. I am engaged in artistic work in the field of painting, and I am also building my artistic expression in the field of art objects in the medium of glass and other materials.
